This paper deals with a second-order ordinary differential equation. For convenience, it is represented as a system \[ a(x,y)\dot y=1,\dot x=y,\quad (x,y)\in M\subseteq \mathbb R^2,\quad t\in T\subseteq\mathbb R.\tag{1} \] The set \(S_1=\{(x,y)\in R^2: a(x,y)=0\}\) is called the first-type singular set of system (1); \((x,y)\in S_1\) is a singular point. Some properties of the behavior of curves \(x(y)\) and trajectories in small neighborhoods of singular points are examined.
