For a locally integrable function \(u\) from \([0,\infty)\) to a Banach space \(X\), it is well known that the existence of the \((C,1)\)-limit \(\lim_{t\rightarrow\infty}t^{-1}\int_0^{t} u(s)\,ds\) implies the existence of the Abel limit \(\lim_{\lambda\downarrow 0}\lambda\int_0^{\infty} e^{-\lambda t}u(t)\,dt\), with the same value as the above limit. A ratio version of this fact is known too [\textit{R. Sato}, Stud. Math. 66, 237--245 (1980; Zbl 0434.28014)]. In the paper under review, the authors extend this ratio version for all \((C,\gamma)\)-limits with \(\gamma\geq 0\). This gives a ratio limit result for vector-valued functions. Also, they extend the ratio Tauberian theorem to cover all \((C,\gamma)\)-limits with \(\gamma\geq 1\). The work has been done for functions (continuous case) and sequences (discrete case), separately. Finally, some special cases of the results leading to some recent generalized Tauberian theorems are considered.
