Griffith--Kelly--Sherman correlation inequalities for the generalized Potts model with long--range binary interactions are considered. The Hamiltonian of the configuration \(\gamma\) of the \(q\)--state Potts model is \[ H_{\gamma} = - \sum\limits_{1 \leq i < j \leq n} J_{ij} \delta_{(\sigma_i)_{\gamma} (\sigma_j)_{\gamma}} \;, \] where each \(\sigma_i\) is allowed to have the values from \(1\) to \(q\) (\(q \geq 2\)) and \(J_{ij}=J_{ji} \geq 0\) holds, implying that the system is ferromagnetic. In the generalized Potts model, the spin variable \(\sigma_i\) at a lattice point \(i\) takes the values \(F^c = \left\{ -l,-l+1, \cdots , l-1,l \right\}\), where \(l=\frac{q-1}{2}\). A real number \(J_A \geq 0\) is given for each \(A= \left\{ i_1, \cdots, i_k \right\} \subset N\) (\(k \geq 2\)). The Hamiltonian of the generalized Potts model is \[ H_{\gamma} = - \sum\limits_{A \subset N} J_A \delta_{\left( \sigma^A\right)_{\gamma}} - \sum\limits_i J_i \delta_{(\sigma_i)_{\gamma},-l} \;, \] where \[ \sigma^A = \prod\limits_{i \in A} \sigma_i \qquad ( \sigma^{\varnothing} \equiv 1) \] and the generalized Kronecker's delta is \[ \delta_{\left( \sigma^A\right)_{\gamma}} = \left\{ { 1 \quad \text{if} \quad \left(\sigma_{i_1} \right)_{\gamma} = \cdots = \left(\sigma_{i_k} \right)_{\gamma} \atop 0 \quad \text{otherwise} \;.} \right. \] A set of Griffith--Kelly--Sherman inequalities (e.~g., \(\langle \sigma^R \sigma^S \rangle - \langle \sigma^R \rangle \langle \sigma^S \rangle \geq 0\)) are proven for this model.
