In the paper under review, the author uses symplectic field theory (SFT) techniques to compute the Gromov-Witten theory of orbicurves, i.e., smooth compact complex curves with isolated orbifold points. The first result is a description of a power series which yields a partial Gromov-Witten potential of an orbicurve of arbitrary genus. The author then concentrates in the case of \(\mathbb P^1_{\alpha_1,\dots, \alpha_a}\), i.e., the complex projective line with \(a\) orbifold points with singularities \(\mathbb Z_{\alpha_i}\), and classifies the situations for which this quantum cohomology series is polynomial, which turns out to occur for at most 3 orbifold points. In [J. Reine Angew. Math. 622, 189--235 (2008; Zbl 1146.53068); Adv. Math. 226, No. 1, 641--672 (2011; Zbl 1222.14121)], \textit{T. E. Milanov} and \textit{H.-H. Tseng} have dealt with the case of 2 orbifold points, hence the paper under review completes this picture. The author then proves a mirror theorem for the above orbifold curves with \(a=3\) by showing that the quantum cohomology Frobenius manifolds are isomorphic to certain Frobenius manifolds in the space of tri-polynomials. The author then computes the SFT-potential of a general Seifert fibration over \(\mathbb P^1\) with at most 3 orbifold points relating this to the integrable systems associated to the rational Gromov-Witten theory of the base, generalizing results of \textit{F. Bourgeois} [A Morse-Bott approach to contact homology. Ph.D. thesis, Stanford Univ. (2002)].
