    Let \(A\) be the infinitesimal generator of a \((C_0)\)-semigroup \(\{T(t); \ t\geq 0\}\) on a Banach space \(X\), \(F\) be Lipschitzian on \(X\), and \(S(t)x=\lim_{\lambda \downarrow 0} (I-\lambda A-\lambda F)^{- [t/\lambda]}x\), \(x\in Z\), \(t\geq 0\) be the nonlinear semigroup generated by \(A+F\). This paper investigates the relations between the continuous Gâteaux (or Fréchet) differentiability of \(F\) and \(S(t)\). The author concludes that if \(F\) is continuously Gâteaux (resp. Fréchet) differentiable on \(X\), then \(S(t)\) is continuously Gâteaux (resp. Fréchet) differentiable on \(X\) for each \(t\geq 0\), \(S(t)x\in D(A)\) for any \(t\geq 0\), \(x\in D(A)\), and \(S(t)x\) is a \(C^1\)-solution to \[ (d/dt)u(t)=[A+F]u(t)\quad t\geq 0,\quad u(0)=x \] and \[ (d/dt)S(t)x=dS(t)x[A+F]x,\quad t\geq 0. \] Moreover, a sufficient and necessary condition for \(F\) continuously Gâteaux differentiable on \(X\) about the differentiability of \(S(t)\) is given.
