On various approaches to asymptotics of solutions to the third Painlevé equation in a neighborhood of infinity (Q2278252): Difference between revisions

The authors study a particular case of the third Painlevé equation and construct its asymptotic solutions via two different approaches. Firstly, the authors apply the dominant balance method and then employ the power geometry. As a result, the authors obtain a two-parametric asymptotic solution of the third Painlevé equation in terms of the Weierstrass elliptic function in a certain sector of the complex plane. The authors also construct an asymptotic solution in the form of power series and present a recurrent relation for the coefficients of these series.
