Building on a previous paper by \textit{A. Simon} and the second author [Elem. Math. 49, No. 2, 77-79 (1994; Zbl 0854.26004)], the authors prove a fixed point theorem for functions with values in \(\mathbb{R}^M\), \(M\) being an arbitrary set. This generalizes and extends earlier results by \textit{S. Hu} [Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 104, No. 4, 1111-1114 (1988; Zbl 0694.47043)] and \textit{S. Schmidt} [Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 115, No. 2, 361-363 (1992; Zbl 0763.47031)].
