The article under review sketches and compares the contents of various notes of Riemann's lecture courses on complex function theory taken by his students in the years 1855-1862. In the text three original drawings of Riemann surfaces and periodicity modules of integrals are reproduced. The bibliography quotes the most valuable preprint \textit{E. Neuenschwander} (Darmstadt 1987). In the meantime this preprint (enlarged and revised) is published as book under the title ``Riemanns Einführung in die Funktionentheorie. Eine quellenkritische Edition seiner Vorlesungen mit einer Bibliographie zur Wirkungsgeschichte der Riemannschen Funktionentheorie'', Göttingen: Vandenhoeck \& Ruprecht (1996; Zbl 0844.01020).
