The authors investigate an axisymmetric steady deformation of polymeric drop which moves in steady uniaxial extensional flow of Newtonian fluid. The Chilcott-Rallison fluid model is used for the fluid drop. The equations of motion are given for the fluid drop, and then are solved by a finite difference scheme applied in a numerically generated orthogonal boundary-fitted coordinate system. The results given in figures demonstrate that the effects of polymer on the deformation and shape of the drop are complicated.
