Minimization, constraints and composite Bézier curves (Q1339368): Difference between revisions

A global method is discussed for the approximation and construction of parametric curves using constraints. The method is based on a variational formulation in which the squared integrals of the zero, first and second derivative seminorms of the approximated and approximation curves are used. A weighting factor is attached to each seminorm. The solution of the constrained variational problem is done by the finite element method over Bernstein basis functions.
