The paper under review involves notions from the several variable spectral theory developed in a book by \textit{J. Eschmeier} and \textit{M. Putinar} [``Spectral decompositions and analytic sheaves'', London Math. Soc. Monogr. New Series. 10 (1996; Zbl 0855.47013)]. The main result of the paper states that, if \(n\geq 2\), \(\Omega\) is a bounded strictly pseudoconvex domain in \({\mathbb C}^n\) with \(C^\infty\) boundary, \(p\geq 1\), \(1\leq m\leq n\) and \(\varphi\) is an \(m\)-tuple of holomorphic functions on \(\Omega\) which belong to \(C^\infty(\overline{\Omega})\), then the Toeplitz \(m\)-tuple \(T_\varphi\) on the Hardy space \(H^p(\Omega)\) has the property \((\beta)_{\mathcal E}\). Roughly speaking, the property \((\beta)_{\mathcal E}\) is a multidimensional \(C^\infty\)-version of Bishop's property \((\beta)\). As a consequence of the main result, under the above described hypotheses, the Hardy space \(H^p(\Omega)\) is quasi-coherent as a Fréchet \({\mathcal O}({\mathbb C}^n)\)-module, acted on by \({\mathcal O}({\mathbb C}^n)\) by means of the Toeplitz operators with symbols from \({\mathcal O}({\mathbb C}^n)\).
