In this very interesting article, the authors want to find out whether women in mathematical research prefer certain subfields. For that, they consider the gender of the authors of articles posted on the \texttt{arXiv} preprints server (note that the gender of many of the authors could not be identified). In the paper under review, there are many detailed results about women's representation in the different mathematics categories of the \texttt{arXiv}. One main result is that in subfields linked to physics there are significantly fewer female authors. The paper also contains a discussion of other studies on this subject.
