The paper continues results of three of the authors and their collaborators on period integrals and tautological systems. It studies the zero loci of locally constant sheaves of the form \(\delta \Pi\), where \(\Pi\) is the period sheaf of the universal family of Calabi-Yau hypersurfaces, \(X\) being the ambient space and \(\delta\) a given differential operator on the space of sections. The zero locus of \(\delta \Pi\) is described in several ways. The descriptions imply that this locus is algebraic and in some cases nonempty. In certain situations this allows to compute polynomials defining the locus and to define a natural stratification of the latter.
