The authors consider the one-dimensional Ginzburg-Landau equations: \[ \begin{alignedat}{2} & (1/\kappa^2)f''= f(f^2+ q^2- 1)\quad &&\text{in }(-a,a),\\ & f'(\pm a)= 0,\\ & q''= qf^2\quad &&\text{in }(-a,a),\\ & q'(\pm a)= h_0,\end{alignedat} \] with the aim of giving a complete description of the solutions with \(f>0\) on \([-a,a]\), according to the values of the parameters \(a\), \(k\) and \(h\). Extensive numerical computations using the software AUTO allow to determine the number, symmetry and stability of solutions for all values of the parameters. The existence of two basic key-points in parameter space is shown, various physically important regimes are separated, and new open problems are derived.
