This paper considers bifurcations of periodic orbits of periodically-forced difference equations. The author first defines such orbits, and then calculates their linearization, essential to determining their stability via Floquet multipliers. Bifurcations of these orbits are then considered, and theorems governing the various types of local bifurcations (saddle-node, transcritical, etc.) are presented, which outline the conditions under which a specific type of bifurcation will occur. The results are demonstrated using a variety of examples, both scalar- and vector-valued, forced and unforced.
