    Summary: We introduce the notion of generalized \(\alpha_\ast\)-admissible mappings. By using this notion, we prove a fixed point theorem. Our result generalizes Mizoguchi-Takahashi's fixed point theorem. We also provide some examples to show the generality of our work.
