On the convergence condition for the Schwarz alternating method for the two-dimensional Laplace equation (Q2358605): Difference between revisions

This paper concerns the Dirichlet problem \[ \Delta u= 0, \qquad u|_{\partial\Omega}= f, \] where \(\Omega= \Omega_{1}\cup \Omega_{2}\), \(\Omega_{1}\cap \Omega_{2}= B\neq\emptyset\), \(\Omega_{1},\Omega_{2} \subset \mathbb R^{2}\). The author proves that the Schwarz method allows to find the solution of the same problem in the domain \( A= \Omega_{1}\cup \Omega_{2}\). Practical results solving this problem are not given.
