The authors study the minimal solutions to the \(\overline\partial\) equation in the unit ball \(\mathbb B\) of \(\mathbb C^{n}\). Their first result deals with an estimate on the off-diagonal decay rate of the Bergman kernel of a weighted Bergman space, under some constraints on the weight, and it is an analog for the unit ball of corresponding results in \(\mathbb C^{n}\) by Christ and Delin. \smallskip { Theorem 1.} If \(\varphi\) is a \(C^{2}\) smooth weight on \(\mathbb B\) such that its curvature form is bounded from above and from below by a multiple of the Bergman Kähler metric of the unit ball, then the Bergman kernel \(K\) of the weighted Bergman space with weight \(\varphi\) can be estimated with respect to the Bergman Kähler metric by \[ |K(z,\overline w)|e^{-\varphi(z)-\varphi(w)}\leq C e^{-\alpha_{\sigma}\text{dist}(z,w)}, \] where \(C>0\) and \(\alpha_{\sigma}\) are constants depending only on the upper and respectively lower bound of the curvature form of \(\varphi\), and \(\text{dist}(z,w)\) is the hyperbolic distance between \(z\) and \(w\) in the ball. \smallskip The second main result concerns \(L^\infty\) estimates on the minimal solution of the \(\overline\partial\) problem. \smallskip {Theorem 2.} Under smoothness and curvature boundedness assumptions on \(\varphi\), for any \((0,1)\)-form \(\theta\) such that \[ \overline\partial\theta=0\, \text{and}\, \sup_{\mathbb B}|\theta|e^{-\varphi}<\infty, \] there is a function \(u\) such that \[ \overline\partial u=\theta\, \text{and}\, \sup_{\mathbb B}|u|e^{-\varphi}\leq C\sup_{\mathbb B}|\theta|e^{-\varphi} . \] As before \(C\) depends only on the upper and lower bounds of the curvature form of \(\varphi\). This theorem improves an earlier result by Berndtsson. In fact, both results follow from a \(L^2\) estimate. \smallskip { Theorem 3.} Under smoothness and curvature boundedness assumptions on \(\varphi\), for any \((0,1)\)-form \(\theta\) such that \[ \overline\partial\theta=0\, \text{and}\, \sup_{\mathbb B}|\theta|e^{-\varphi}<\infty, \] the solution of \(\overline\partial U=\theta\) minimizing \(\int_{\mathbb B}|U|^{2}e^{-2\varphi}dV\) also satisfies the estimate \[ \int_{\mathbb B}e^{-2\alpha_{\sigma}\text{dist}(\cdot,w)}|U|^{2}e^{-2\varphi}dV\leq C\int_{\mathbb B}e^{-2\alpha_{\sigma}\text{dist}(\cdot,w)}|\theta|^{2}e^{-2\varphi}dV. \] \smallskip The proof relies on a new technique, so-called of ``double twisting'', developed by the authors, which combines the twisting technique of Ohsawa and the one introduced by Berndtsson and McNeal.
