The paper studies the Fourier coefficients of mock-modular forms of weight 1 and level $p$ (a prime congruent to 3 mod 4). It shows that there exists such forms whose shadows are newforms of dihedral type, and the Fourier coefficients of such forms are given by logarithm of norm of algebraic numbers similar to cases of Stark's conjectures on derivatives of $L$-functions. The authors also give a new modular interpretation of certain products of differences of singular moduli studied by Gross and Zagier, expressing them using Fourier coefficients of the mock-modular forms constructed above. Finally, numerical evidence is given that the results above should also hold for the Fourier coefficients of a mock-modular form whose shadow is a newform of the exotic type (not of dihedral type).
