It is known that pseudo-differential operators \(a(D)\) with constant coefficients, where \(a\) is a continuous negative definite function, generate Feller semigroups and balayage spaces. In this paper the author proves that also the corresponding time-dependent operator \(\partial/\partial t-a(D)\) generates a balayage space. It is also shown that as in the case of the classical heat equation the notions of polar and semipolar sets do not coincide.
