    The authors consider the retarded differential difference equation \(\dot x(t)=A_ 0 x(t)+\sum^ N_{k=1} A_ k x(t-\gamma_ k\cdot r)\) and the neutral differential difference equation \[ {d\over {dt}} \left[ x(t)- \sum^ N_{k=1} B_ k x(t-\gamma_ k\cdot r)\right] =A_ 0 x(t)+ \sum^ N_{k=1} A_ k x(t-\gamma_ k\cdot r), \] where \(x\in\mathbb{R}^ n\), each \(A_ 0\), \(A_ k\), \(B_ k\) (\(k=1,2,\dots,N\)) is an \(n\times n\) real constant matrix, \(r\) and \(\gamma_ k\) are constant vectors. In the paper algebraic sufficient conditions for the zero solution to be stable (hyperbolic) for all the values of the delays are given. Moreover, some simple criteria for the asymptotically stable cone to be convex are obtained. Note that some misprints are in the paper.
