Let \(F(z,c):=\sum^ \infty_{n=0}\exp(-(n+c)^{1/2} z)\), \(G(z,c):=\sum^ \infty_{n=0} (-1)\exp(-(n+c)^{1/2} z)\), \(\text{Re }z>0\), \(0\leq c<1\). The author presents the Laurent series expansions (with the center at 0) of the functions \(F\) and \(G\). The problem is connected with a numerical method of finding the sum of slowly convergent series.
