Let \(G\) be a finite group and let \(P(s)\) be the Dirichlet series associated with \(G\). The main theorem of the paper under review states that if \(G\) is a finite simple group and \(H\) a finite group with the same Dirichlet series as \(G\), then \(H/\text{Frat}(H)\) is a simple group where \(\text{Frat}(H)\) denotes the Frattini subgroup of \(G\).
