The paper deals with the following integro-differential equation: \[ \varepsilon \frac{dy}{dt} = a(t)y + \int_0^t E_{\varepsilon}(t, s; \mu_0)K(t,s)y(s,\varepsilon)\,ds +p(t)\int_0^t E_{\varepsilon}(t, s; \mu_1)q(s)y(s,\varepsilon)\,ds +h(t), \] where \[ E_{\varepsilon}(t, s; \phi)=\exp\left( \frac{1}{\varepsilon}\int_{\alpha}^{\beta} \phi(\theta)\,d \theta \right). \] Here, one of the two rapidly varying kernels has an unstable spectral value, \(\mu_1(t)\). The initial equation is transformed equivalently into an integro-differential system. The existence, uniqueness and estimates of the solution of this system are obtained using an iterative method.
