The paper is concerned with applications of linear multi-step methods to solve a singularly perturbed Volterra delay integro-differential equation. The approach is based on an adaptation of the method proposed for problems without singular perturbation in the work of \textit{Ch. T. H. Baker} and \textit{N. J. Ford} [Appl. Numer. Math. 9, No. 3-5, 357--370 (1992; Zbl 0754.65111)]. Following preliminaries, the paper is organized as follows: in the theoretical part a new theorem provides error estimates for the method, this is followed by some numerical examples that illustrate the results.
