The aim of the paper is to present the possibility of extending the well-known Gelfand-Naimark representation of \(C^*\)-algebras to certain Banach \(C^*\)-modules. The author proves that a particular completion \(X\) of a von Neumann algebra \(M\), with respect to a norm weaker than the \(C^*\)-norm, consists of operators affiliated with \(M\) and that a \(WQ^*\)-algebra can be continuously embedded into a \(WQ^*\)-algebra of operators.
