Generalized Lie problem and differential invariants for the third order ODEs (Q2404801): Difference between revisions

This work concerns the classification problem for degenerate third order ODEs: \(y^{\prime \prime \prime }=F(x, y)\) under the name of \textit{generalized Lie problem}, since Sophus Lie solves the similar question regarding the second order case. More precisely, the action of the point symmetries pseudogroup of these equation is studied and the algebra of differential invariants is computed. The regular ODEs from this class are classified.
