This paper studies the \(n\)-th order sublinear nonautonomous differential equation \(u^{(n)}=f(t,u)\) with \(n\ge 2\), where \(f:[a,\infty)\times \mathbb{R}\to \mathbb{R}\) is such that \(\sigma f(t,u)u\ge 0\) for some \(\sigma \in \{-1,1\}\). Long term behavior of solutions of the equation is investigated. More specifically, necessary and sufficient conditions are found for the equation to satisfy the so called Properties A and B, respectively, as defined therein. An interesting consequence of the results is as follows: Let \(n\) be even and \(f(t,u)=p(t) \ln (1+|u|) \operatorname{sgn} (u)\) with \(p(t)\le 0\) on \([a,\infty)\). Then the equation is oscillatory if and only if \(\int_a^{\infty} p(t) dt=-\infty\).
