The authors show, by means of several additional statements, some of which of interest on their own, that a permutation of \(n\) numbers with \(m\) cycles of given lengths fixes by the natural action a polytope with a certain volume as a subset of the permutahedron \(\Pi_n\). Additional remarks connecting the main result to the existing literature close the paper.
