In this paper, the authors introduce the concept of an endpoint in the context of \(T_0\)-quasi-metric spaces, as well as its dual, which they call startpoint. Using these concepts they generalize to the asymmetric context some results on metric spaces due mainly to Isbell. For example, they study the \(q\)-hyperconvex hull of a \(T_0\)-quasi-metric space and prove that the \(q\)-hyperconvex hull of a joincompact \(T_0\)-quasi-metric space can be identified with the \(q\)-hyperconvex hull of its subspace of startpoints and endpoints.
