In \textit{B. Keller} [Doc. Math., J. DMV 10, 551-581 (2005; Zbl 1086.18006)], a certain category of Calabi-Yau dimension \(m+1\) is considered: the quotient of the bounded derived category of a finite dimensional path algebra by the composition of the inverse of the Auslander-Reiten translation and the shift. This can be regarded as a generalisation of the cluster category, introduced by \textit{P. Caldero, F. Chapoton} and \textit{R. Schiffler} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 358, No. 3, 1347-1364 (2006; Zbl 1137.16020)] for type \(A\) and in general by \textit{A. B. Buan, R. J. Marsh, M. Reineke, I. Reiten} and \textit{G. Todorov} [Adv. Math. 204, No. 2, 572-618 (2006; Zbl 1127.16011)], and is known as the \(m\)-cluster category. In this article, it is shown that the \(m\)-cluster category can be used to model the combinatorics of the \(m\)-clusters of \textit{S. Fomin} and \textit{N. Reading} [Int. Math. Res. Not. 2005, No. 44, 2709-2757 (2005; Zbl 1117.52017)], generalising the way the cluster category models the combinatorics of the cluster algebra (see the above articles and subsequent work).
