The authors obtain the additivity theorem for \(K\)-theory of triangulated derivators. This solves one of the conjectures made by \textit{G. Maltsiniotis} [Contemp. Math. 431, 341--373 (2007; Zbl 1136.18002)]. In addition, the authors also review some basic definitions and results in the theory of derivators in the sense of Grothendieck.
