Denote by \(L^p_w(\mathbb{T})\) the Banach space of all measurable, \(2 \pi\)-periodic functions \(f\) such that \[ \|f\|_{p,w}:=\left(\int_\mathbb{T}\bigl| f(x)\bigr|^pw(x) dx\right)^{1/p}<\infty, \] where the weight \(w:\mathbb{T}\to \mathbb{R}\) is a measurable, \(2\pi\)-periodic and nonnegative function. A pair \((v,w)\) of weights is said to belong to the class \({\mathcal A}_p(\mathbb{T})\) if \[ \sup\frac{1}{|I|}\int_Iv(x)dx\left( \frac{1}{|I|}\int_Iw^{1-p'}(x)dx \right)^{p-1}<\infty,\;\frac 1p+\frac{1}{p'}= 1, \] where the supremum is taken over all intervals \(I\) with length \(|I|\leq 2 \pi\). Denote by \(\sigma_n^\alpha(x,f)\) the Cesàro mean of order \(\alpha>0\) of the function \(f\in L^p_w(\mathbb{T})\). Among others, the following theorem is proved. Theorem 2.3. Let \(1<p<\infty\). For the validity of the inequality \[ \bigl\| \sigma_n^\alpha(\cdot,f)\bigr\|_{p,v}\leq c\|f\|_{p,w} \] for every \(f\in L^p_w (\mathbb{T})\), where the constant \(c\) does not depend on \(n\) and \(f\), it is necessary and sufficient that \((v,w)\in{\mathcal A}_p (\mathbb{T})\). A two-weight version of the Bernstein inequality is also proved. Theorem 4.1. If \((v,w)\leq{\mathcal A}_p(\mathbb{T})\) for some \(1<p<\infty\), then for every trigonometric polynomial \(T_n(x)\) of order at most \(n\), we have \[ \|T_n'\|_{p,v}\leq n\|T_n\|_{p,w}\quad\text{and}\quad\| \widetilde T_n\|_{p,v}\leq cn\|\mathbb{T}_n\|_{p,w}, \] where \(c\) is a constant and \(\widetilde T_n\) is the conjugate trigonometric polynomial. The theorems are also extended to double Fourier series and trigonometric polynomials of two variables.
