Three exponential finite difference methods for one-dimensional, one-phase Stefan problems are presented. These methods employ a transformation that maps the moving-boundary problem into a fixed one. To assess the accuracy of these methods when there are no analytical solutions, the author compares the results of these techniques with those based on the conventional finite difference methods.
