Let \(f\) be a holomorphic endomorphism of the complex projective space \(\mathbb{P}^k\). A compact subset \(A\) of \(\mathbb{P}^k\) is called an \textit{attracting set} if there exists an open set \(U\) such that \(f(U)\Subset U\) and \(A=\bigcap_{n\geq 0} f^n(U)\). If moreover \(f\) is topologically mixing on \(A\) then \(A\) is called an \textit{attractor}. The author introduces the notion of a map \(f\) of \textit{small topological degree on an attracting set \(A\)} (Definition~3.3), proving that this condition implies that \(A\) is non-algebraic. \textit{T.-C. Dinh} [J. Geom. Anal. 17, No. 2, 227--244 (2007; Zbl 1139.37032)] proved the existence of an \textit{attracting current} supported in \(A\). The author shows that in the codimension-1 case, under the small topological degree assumption, the attracting current has a bounded quasi-potential, and in particular, \(A\) is non-pluripolar. The author is then able to prove that the condition of small topological degree is satisfied by a specific class of \(f\) on \(\mathbb{P}^2\). Finally, the higher-codimension case is considered and the author gives a class of examples on \(\mathbb{P}^3\) showing that only assuming small topological degree is not sufficient to conclude that the attracting set is non-pluripolar.
