In a previous paper, Mehrman and Krause examined the preservation of controllability of generalized linear dynamical systems \(Ex'=Ax+ Bu\) under linear matrix mappings \((\widetilde A,\widetilde B)= f(A,B)\). This paper points out an error in this earlier work, illustrates the problem with examples, and develops correct variants of the earlier work.
