The authors study obstacle problems for Monge-Ampère type equations set in bounded domains in \(\mathbb{R}^n\). Using Perron's method it is shown that if the class of viscosity solutions is nonempty, then the pointwise supremum in this class is also a viscosity solution. The regularity of the greatest viscosity solution is also established.
