Let \(G\) be a group with finite generating set \(S\). The growth power series of \(G\) relative to \(S\) is defined to be \(f_ S(x) = \sum^ \infty_{n = 0} a_ n x^ n\), where \(a_ n\) is the number of elements of \(G\) which are words of length \(n\) in \(S \cup S^{-1}\). The author gives new proofs of results of \textit{J. W. Cannon} and \textit{P. Wagreich} [Math. Ann. 293, No. 2, 239-258 (1992; Zbl 0734.57001)] and extends them to every Coxeter group which is a discrete group of isometries of a hyperbolic 3-space generated by reflections whose fundamental domain is a bounded polyhedron (not just tetrahedron).
