[Concerns the article of \textit{J. Łach}, ibid. 26, 1597-1601 (1983; Zbl 0519.76105).] In this letter the authors refer to various alternative solutions given by several papers for the Nusselt's mathematical model of heat transfer in single-pass crossflow heat exchanger. They have solved the mathematical problem which is a particular case of a general problem already solved by \textit{W. Pieczka} in Demonstr. Math. 7(1974), 451-462 (1975; Zbl 0293.35017), and have established an equivalence with the said alternative solutions in terms of certain functions, called as \(V_ i\) functions by them. Such a long letter, i.e., a 12-page letter from Baclic and Heggs was really unnecessary. A 1-page letter from them would have been sufficient, because the only contribution from them is the above-mentioned equivalence they have given. It would have been better if they had given the equivalence not in terms of \(V_ i\) functions but in terms of \(Bs_ n\) functions of \({\L}ach\), because \(Bs_ n\) functions are simpler than \(V_ i\) functions.
