The authors prove that in a reflexive Banach space \(E\) which admits a weakly sequentially continuous duality map from \(E \to E^{*}\) and, for a nonexpansive nonself-map \(T\), \[ x_{t} = P(tf(x_{t} + (1-t)Tx_{t}) \] and the sequence generated by \[ x_{0} \in K, \quad x_{n+1}=P(\alpha _{n}f(x_{n} + (1-\alpha _{n})Tx_{n}), \] where \(P\) is a sunny nonexpansive retraction of \(E\) onto a subset \(C\) of \(E\), strongly converge to a fixed point of \(T\). Their results generalize and improve several recent results.
