A set \(\Omega\subset\mathbb{C}^ n\) is called a Fatou-Bieberbach region if \(\Omega\) is the range of a one-to-one holomorphic map \(F\) with domain \(\mathbb{C}^ n\), and \(\Omega\neq\mathbb{C}^ n\). For the open unit ball \(B\) of \(\mathbb{C}^ n\) let \(rB\) be the ball of radius \(r\), centered at 0 and let \(JF\) be the complex Jacobian of \(F\). The main result is: If \(n>1\) and \(\mu:[0,\infty)\to[0,\infty)\) satisfies \(\mu(r)\to\infty\) as \(r\to\infty\), then there exists a holomorphic one- to-one map \(F:\mathbb{C}^ n\to\mathbb{C}^ n\), with \(JF\equiv 1\), whose range \(\Omega\) satisfies \[ \lim_{r\to\infty}{vol(\Omega\cap rB)\over\mu(r)}=0. \]
