The Kadomtsev-Petviashvili dynamical system defined in preprints of the author in terms of algebras of formal pseudodifferential operators is investigated. Correspondence between orbits of the dynamical system and subalgebras \(A\subset {\mathbb{C}}((\partial^{-1}))\) is established. For finite-dimensional orbit the corresponding subalgebra gr A is isomorphic to the algebra of regular functions on the cone over a complex projective curve (generally singular) and motion on the orbit is locally isomorphic to linear one on the Jacobian of the curve. The solution of the Schottky problem is given: An Abelian variety is the Jacobian variety of an algebraic curve if and only if it appears as an orbit in the dynamical system in question.
