Let \((M,g)\) and \((N,h)\) be two finite dimensional Riemannian manifolds and \(f\) be an \(N\)-valued smooth map on \(M\). Let \(H\) be a smooth map on \(N\), the exponential energy functional associated to \(f\) carrying potential is given by \(\displaystyle E^H_e(f)=\int_M(\exp\left(\frac{|df|^2}{2}\right) -H\circ f)\). Now, we consider \(f_t\), the variation of \(f\) such that \(f_0=f\), and we say that \(f\) is an Exponentially harmonic Map (EhM) with potential \(H\) when \(\displaystyle\frac{d}{dt}E_e^H(f_t)_{\restriction_{t=0}}=0\). By employing exponential stress energy (with potential) tensor, the author states a formula of the monotonicity for an EhM (Theorem 1.3).
