For second-order scalar ordinary differential equations, subject to coupled multipoint boundary conditions, upper and lower solution methods are used to construct a monotone sequence of approximate solutions converging to a unique solution. Using in particular a technique of quasilinearization for constructing the approximations, the convergence is shown to be quadratic.
