The evolution of the proof of the fundamental theorem of projective geometry is studied from the origin (Möbius, Charles, Steiner) to the proofs of Schur and Weierstrass. The demonstrations of von Staudt, Reye, Thomae, Pasch are also studied with contributions of Zeuthen, Lüroth, Darboux and the Italian geometers Enriques and Pier.
