In this paper the author gives a new independent and simpler proof of a formula for the jumping numbers of a unibranch curve singularity \(P \in C\) on a smooth surface \(X\) (a unibranch curve singularity is sometimes also called an analytically irreducible curve singularity), as well as a more geometric interpretation of the result. Versions of this formula (even in the non-unibranch case) first appeared via the study of the Hodge spectrum and its relation to multiplier / adjoint ideals and jumping numbers; see the work of \textit{M. Saito} [``Exponents of an irreducible plane curve singularity'', arXiv:math/0009133v2 (2000)], \textit{Lê Van Thanh} and \textit{J. H. M. Steenbrink} [Acta Math. Vietnam. 14, No. 1, 87--94 (1989; Zbl 0737.14006)], \textit{M. Vaquié} [Am. J. Math. 114, No. 6, 1187--1199 (1992; Zbl 0814.14014)], and \textit{N. Budur} [Math. Ann. 327, No. 2, 257--270 (2003; Zbl 1035.14010)]. A direct proof recently appeared in the Thesis of \textit{T. Järvilehto} [Jumping numbers of a simple complete ideal in a two-dimensional regular local ring, arXiv:math/0611587v1]. The paper under review expresses this formula, geometrically, in two ways. The first in terms of the Enriques diagram of a log resolution. The second is in terms of the Zariski exponents of \(C\) at \(P\). Please see the paper for the definitions. The proof uses the notion of relevant divisors as introduced by \textit{K. E. Smith} and \textit{H. M. Thompson} [Contemp. Math. 448, 245--254 (2007; Zbl 1141.14004)], which helps give more geometric meaning to the formula. As the author points out, related results have also been obtained by \textit{K. Tucker} in [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 362, No. 6, 3223--3241 (2010; Zbl 1194.14026)].
