Let \(W\) be a Coxeter group. It is generated by a set \(S\) of elements of order 2. The length of \(w\in W\) is defined as the length of the shortest expression of \(w\) in terms of \(S\). The Bruhat order is a natural partial order on \(W\) related with the Bruhat decomposition. The paper is about relations between the length and the order. Let \(\mathcal P\) be the set of parabolic subgroups, i.e., subgroups generated by proper subsets of \(S\). The relations are stated in terms of a map \(m\colon W\times{\mathcal P}\to W\).
