The spectral concentration of the absolutely continuous spectrum of the one-dimensional selfadjoint Dirac operator \[ H=-i\sigma_2\frac{d}{dr}+m(r)\sigma_3+\frac{k}{r}\sigma_1+q(r), \qquad r\in (0,\infty), \] is studied under the hypothesis that the system is in the limit-point case at both endpoints \(0\) and \(\infty\). Under suitable assumptions on \(m\) and \(q\) the absolutely continuous spectrum of \(H\) covers the whole real line. By means of a special solution of the Dirac equation a formula for the \(2\times 2\)-spectral matrix of \(H\) is obtained. The fact that the absolutely continuous spectrum of \(H\) is simple is reflected in the derivative of the spectral matrix: One of its eigenvalues vanishes identically. The other eigenvalue, regarded as a function of the spectral parameter, is the spectral density of \(H\). It is shown that outside a neighbourhood of exceptional points the spectral density has no local maxima, i.e., there are no points of spectral concentration or the spectrum is essentially homogeneous. The paper can be regarded as a successor of [``Absence of high-energy spectral concentration for Dirac systems with divergent potentials'', Proc. R. Soc. Edinb., Sect. A, Math. 135, No. 4, 689--702 (2005; Zbl 1092.34047)], where similar questions in the case that \(0\) is a regular endpoint of the Dirac system were investigated.
