The authors consider swapping of values of some variable among two records in data for purposes of disclosure control. Necessary and sufficient conditions are given that some records can be swapped without changes in a set of given marginal distributions of data. An algorithm is proposed for finding a second record to be swapped with a given preserving the marginals.
