The main goal of the paper is the existence and uniqueness of solutions for a mixed boundary value problem of nonlinear impulsive differential equations of fractional order in (1,2). The first result is based on the Banach contraction principle, the second one is based on Krasnoselskii's fixed point theorem. Two examples are given to demonstrate the applicabilitty. Unfortunately, Example 4.2 does not satisfy all the conditions of Theorem 3.2. For example, the provided functions J are not Lipschitz with the constant 1.
